Believe it or not, you can actually spike your Spotify streams and followers organically. Now be not deceived, this is incremental growth, not buying a million streams overnight, which is shady anyway and should be avoided. So here’s a few ways to spike the punch or spotify in this case. Some of this is actually really simple, but we get lost as artists trying to think of the DSP’s as terrestrial radio, which means the more spins the better. First and foremost, make sure you have a dope profile. Make sure your profile speaks to your brand, your image and your music. It all has to fit and make sure to keep it current and updated. Make sure you claim your profile to access Spotify For Artists, this is open to both artists and their teams - you do have a team right? You can’t do this alone, go get a team or hit me up. Submit to curators. Now with this timing is everything. You must submit to Spotify curators prior to the release of your single so don’t forget. Look for other playlists and create your own. You can actually advertise your playlists on your socials and on other sites. Submit your songs to bloggers like - me! Or you can use tools like submithub or the indie bible. Support other artists. It’s like friends helping friends type thing. Embed a Spotify Follow Button on your website. Now you may need a lil help with this so just go to the Spotify Developer website. Copy and paste the Spotify Follow Button widget HTML to a webpage. Fans who click your button become followers of your Spotify artist profile and music.

Email marketing is a great way to get the word out to the lists that you create from your website - you do have a website right? Get one. Create a Spotify code and share it with your fans. These codes are QR-like “scannable” tags used to share or discover content on Spotify. You can create Spotify Codes for artist profiles, brand profiles, playlists, albums, and songs. Make sure you are asking your distributor if they have a list, or help with any lists they are a part of. Lastly - be patient and pray 🙏🏾  it helps.
